15 years ago, PJ’s life changed and many of the things that he enjoyed were closed off to him for a number of years. However, thanks to the generous support of others, PJ was able to take pleasure in many of the things that he took for granted pre-injury.

He has enjoyed golf in the ParaGolfer at Long Reef Golf Club and has been on a couple of hand cycling trips. Onsite, PJ was touched by our staff’s kind support – even helping with his laundry, always being there to help and happy to make a decent coffee!

This was the first time I’ve been back on the ocean and in a lake. The kayak gave me a sense of success and freedom from my wheelchair. I hope to visit again and get straight back into the kayak. It was unreal.PJ
