Jenny Bailey & the late Sam Bailey

Jenny Bailey and the late Sam Bailey embody resilience, courage and the enduring power of partnership. After sustaining a C6/C7 spinal cord injury at just 19, Sam refused to let his circumstances define him, going on to become a farmer, ultralight pilot, author and inspiring public speaker. Together, Sam and Jenny built a life grounded in determination and optimism, sharing their story across Australia to inspire others. Their journey, featured on Australian Story and in their book Head Over Heels, reflects the strength of spirit that defines the Sargood community. As passionate Ambassadors, they have supported the Foundation’s mission to create meaningful change for people living with SCI and their families. Sam’s passing in 2025 was deeply felt, but his legacy lives on through Jenny’s continued involvement and their shared commitment to helping others navigate life after injury with hope and confidence.
