Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, Ashlee was able to take advantage of the opportunity to join our amazing Scuba Diving course in April 2019. Ashlee was also surprised by how easy Sargood on Collaroy made everything during her visit.

Although I love snorkelling, I just couldn’t imagine how scuba diving with a spinal cord injury would work, but everyone here just makes it so easy for you. It’s such a good feeling to be down under the water – I really just feel empowered and challenged.

I imagined Sargood would be a bit like ‘rehab by the sea’ but it’s nothing like a prettied-up version of rehab, I love how normal it is and cannot wait to come back with my kids and join in all the other activities that are on offer.Ashlee
