In 2000, a passionate group of Collaroy residents now known as the Sargood Foundation, led an extraordinary effort to raise more than $25 million. With the support of local clubs, businesses, council, residents and a private philanthropist, they brought to life Sargood on Collaroy; a world-first Centre for Holistic Wellness where people living with spinal cord injury, along with their families and carers, can reconnect, learn, and experience life in new and meaningful ways.
Quite simply, without this community, Sargood would not exist. Their generosity, advocacy and belief made it possible and continue to shape its future.

Strong relationships exist with government partners at all levels, including Northern Beaches Council. Their commitment to accessibility has helped shape Collaroy as an “all abilities” destination, with inclusive infrastructure that benefits the entire community.

From neighbourhood cafés to iconic supporters like Long Reef Golf Club and Collaroy Beach Club, local organisations have played a vital role hosting events, contributing funds and expanding opportunities for Guests and Clients.
