“Total respite for the body and the mind!”

What an amazing place is Sargood. The staff, from Heidi over the phone, the front desk reception plus the “girls” that were always around in the kitchen/dining area and baking cookies to try on the food bench, helping out at happy hour as waitresses and even keeping our rooms tidy. They were always around with a friendly smile and talk.

Our arrival timing was perfect as Happy Hour was only 5 minutes away, a great way to start our stay with that stunningly awesome view from the balcony.

Our room was also amazing as were the views from the communal dining and lounge balconies.

It would be remiss of me not to mention 2 special men Jacob & Sebastian (the physio/ activities staff and bus drivers) who organised all the activities with patience, empathy and care and also encouraged my wife, Chris, to  partake in these activities. The activities I did, and also my wife ,were just amazing. Snorkelling, bike riding and 4wheel electric wheel chair for some stunning headland/bluff beach views and a bus trip to Avalon for their annual town market day with their very long main street wall to wall with stalls and people. Although my spinal op has not left me in a chair, I still find some places hard with a walking stick so all their help was much appreciated.

Even though I was not in a chair I hadn’t had the confidence to travel on public transport since my spinal op in June 2017. The first few days with you guys gave me that confidence so with my trust walking stick and my wife by my side we caught a bus to Manly a ferry to Circular Quay , lunch then return, thanks for that. Also thanks to the friendly people  of Sydney wherever we went.

Without a doubt this is one of the best if not the best “holidays” we have ever had, it was a total respite for the body and the mind.

Thank you ALL so very much and thanks to the Foundation for giving us the chance to stay at your wonderful place.

Without the generosity of PQSA & The Sargood Foundation we would just not have been able to go.

Thank you all so very much!
