James Gribble

James Gribble brings energy, humour and determination to everything he does. Following a life-changing spinal cord injury in 2008 while travelling in Africa, James faced immense challenges but refused to let them define his future. A passionate golfer before his injury, James used visualisation techniques during recovery to stay connected to the sport. He later founded Empower Golf, opening up opportunities for people with disability to participate and thrive in the game. Through his work with the Sargood Foundation, James has helped introduce adaptive golfing experiences, including the Paragolfer, expanding access and inclusion within the community. James embodies the spirit of Sargood—optimistic, driven and deeply committed to helping others rediscover joy, confidence and connection through shared experience and opportunity.
